The Buddy Bench is a concept that originates from overseas.

Buddy Benches combat loneliness and bullying in schools. They eliminate loneliness and foster friendships on the playgrounds. Sometimes called a friendship bench, these benches are provided on school playgrounds as a way for students to signal to others that they are feeling lonely and isolated and need a friend to play with or someone to talk to. They work because they are a physical place that makes other kids aware of how someone is feeling.

These benches are painted with little hands on them “Make a friend, be a friend” and are given to primary schools with a special assembly and a video about the bench and how to use it. A Strong message accompany these benches to the schools about faith, hope and love.
